- Zen Trees on Canvas
Dec 3, 2019
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Zentangle is a meditative art form drawing patterns; each pattern or tangle has a name and there are simplified ways to draw seemingly complex looking patterns that a Certified Zentangle Teacher understands having learned how to teach the Zentangle Method at the Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) Training Seminar in Providence, Rhode Island. Dolly became a CZT in June 2014 and is one of 11 CZT’s currently teaching in Alberta. The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Like Yoga for the mind, almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. The Zentagle Method is enjoyed all over the world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.
In this third class, students create a festive Christmas gift or winter themed artwork choosing their own colour scheme and tangles they will use in their project. Tangling will be done straight onto the canvas first then they will paint the trees using quick drying acrylic Liquitex paint markers. Students will receive: one Black Sakura IDenti Pen, pencil, and one white 8X8 canvas. Liquitex acrylic paint markers in a variety of colours will be supplied for use during this class. All materials are included in price.
Students must have taken a Beginning Zentangle class from any Certified Zentangle Teacher prior to enrolling in Zen Trees class.
