What is Family Literacy? Family Literacy programs and courses in Canada aim to help bring families together while learning and improving literacy, numeracy and writing skills by reading to children. Our course is designed with interactive activities for fun learning outcomes for the entire family. We encourage all ages and stages to join, as adults support a strong foundation at home. The first course is “Dear Canada”.

Learn about the place we call home in this 8-week course. We will be exploring Canada from coast to cost through fun interactive activities, songs and stories. Each week we will tour across Canada for fun and fascinating facts and tales. Ages 0-5 welcome, parent supervision required. For more details please contact our office. Choose from 2 class times, online or in person.

Instructor: Nicole Urbina

Location: Online.

Online learning gives you the flexibility to learn a new skill where ever you are. Our online classes are instructor led and will be delivered on Moodle. After you register, you will receive access to our learning Moodle and also a link to the online classroom from your instructor.  With this you will be able to participate in a classroom setting, access many learning activities and homework and interact with your instructor at your designated class time.  Chrome or Firefox work best with our online classes.

This course is being subsidized by St. Albert Further Education & Alberta Advanced Education and the City of St. Albert.
