Active Member

The membership fee must be received before the member is allowed to advertise in the Association’s publications.

Responsibilities
  1. attend at least one meeting annually of the Association (either general or special meetings) and/or serve on a committee
    and/or contribute volunteer time to the organization;
  2. have 1 (one) vote at general meeting;
  3. receive all notices of meetings and any material provided by the Association in reasonable quantity;
  4. name an official representative to the Association and shall designate an alternate when required.
  5. promote and facilitate quality lifelong learning opportunities;
  6. communicate with the Association and the membership and share available resources;
  7. comply with the policies and procedures of Alberta Learning and the Association with respect to grant funds and other matters relevant to the member and the Association;
  8. pay the annual general membership fee;
  9. meet all advertising deadlines;
  10. keep advertising accounts paid and up-to-date.

  5. to access grant funding which may be available for non-profit General Members.
  6. desktop publishing services, outside of regular brochure advertising, are available for members who have special requests. This service is available for a fee and is subject to the availability of the Further Education Executive Director’s time.
